Missal Romanum MCMLXII
A Deeper and Richer experience of The Mass of The Ages
|
|
A common experience amongst Latin Mass attendees goes something like this: "I know that this paragraph on the left that begins; "Credo", means the same thing as this paragraph on the right that begins; "I believe," but what does "Filium Dei unigenitum" mean? Well, for those of us in the less than 1% (long long ago in a galaxy far far away) who took four years of high school Latin, we dutifully answer with; "only begotten son of God." For the greater than 99%, all of us who didn't, we humbly present Missal Romanum MCMLXII(1962).
MRLXII (MR62) is not a course in Latin (amo, amas, amat, amamus, amatis, amant, aminiantureruntibus...), however, it does provide the means by which you can begin to internalize the English meanings of the Latin phrases in the Mass. We recommend taking the "How it Works" tour to learn how to use the Missal controls, or just choose any link in the MISSALS drop-down menu (mouseover 3rd option from the left) and start playing. Now begin to experience The Mass of The Ages in a deeper and richer way. May God richly bless you. Enjoy!

Coming up on launching this website, we had to decide what a year of our lives was worth. Notable contemporary Catholic luminaries all charge for their books/content, so why shouldn't we?   I felt, however, that our Lord was saying "Don't worry, you're not going to starve, I've got your back."  So, there will be no charge for its use. We do, however, encourage each user to donate at least $1.00 to the Capital Building Campaign of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Tyler, TX.  The link is above this text.  Click on the 'PLEDGE NOW' button on the bottom of their home page.  If your donation is one-time, click on the 'Give a one-time donation instead' link at bottom of form. Enter the Amount. Then select 'One Time' from the drop-down list at right. Click on Next. Fill in your Name, Email, and Address. Please enter "1962" in the 'Referred by' field (that's us).
- Our Sincerest thanks   and may God Bless You!
